Title: Self-Worth: I Belong to God
I didn't always know I am in was Jesus Christ. A quick personal story, as a young Christian, I experienced low self-worth by thinking I was not s good enough nor belonging to the family of God. Until I began to read the bible and thru prayer when God begins to reveal to me l that I have self-worth and belong to his family of God, it wasn't all that long ago until I started to discover my belonging to God and self-worth through the bible. However, It is easy to enter into a self-sabotaging cycle by continually saying you are not good enough or don't belong. In contrast, according to the Bible, Jeremiah 1:5 (New Living Translation ) 5, "I knew you before I formed you in your mother's womb. Before you were born, I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations." This bible verse emphasizes God's knowing who you are before you were born into the world and that he set you apart from others. This is a valuable bible verse because it gives insight into that you belong to God. God desires to know that you are adorned, valued, and loved. Your self-worth is essential to God and knowing that you belong to God the father.
• You are valuable – You are valuable to God! You are maybe wondering how are valuable to God.! He knows how your value, your self-worth, and your future! God desires for you to know that you belong to God. According to the Bible, Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you" —this is the LORD's declaration—"plans for your well-being, not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope(Christian Standard Bible). You are God's child - According to the Bible, Galatians 3:26 26, You have all become real children of God by the faith of Jesus the Anointed One(The Passion Translation). You are valuable to God because you are his own. It is critical to know you valued in the eyes of God.
• You're adorned – God adores you, he loves you. Are you maybe thinking, how does God adore me? You are the apple of God's eye, and he adores you. According to Bible, Psalm 17:8( ESV)Keep me as the apple of your eye; hide me in the shadow of your wings. Also, You, my friend was made in his creation. According to the Bible in Ephesians 2:10, For we are His creation, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared ahead of time so that we should walk in them( Holman Christian Standard Bible). God is focused on you and your self-worth.
• You are loved – God desires you to know that you love him! According to the Bible, 1 John 4:19, We, though, are going to love—love and be loved. First, we were loved, now we love. He loved us first(The Message). God loves us consisted, and he wants you to know that is available today and forever. God desires for you to know that your self-worth and your belonging, but he takes pleasure in those who honor him, in those who trust in his constant love. — Psalm 147:11. God loves you!
In conclusion, my friend knows that you are valuable; you are adorned and loved by God! There is a hostile world out there that wants you to believe the lie that you are not worth, but my friend, you are worth and worth it. So break out of the negative cycle of self-sabotaging and enter into self-worth.
Prayer: Please give me the ability to have self-worth! Thank you, Lord, for value me, adorning me, and value me. I ask that self-worth be demonstrated in my life. I ask you to reveal to me the self-worth that comes to form you. In Jesus Name. Amen!
