Positive Thinking: What Does the Bible Say?


Do you believe in positive thinking? If so, what does the Bible say about it? This blog post discusses some verses that support positive thinking and provides a few tips on being more optimistic. The Bible encourages us to be positive with our thoughts even when we go through difficult times: "Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy —think about such things" (Philippians chapter four verse eight). Jesus was cheerful in his outlook towards life.






Positive thinking is a positive mindset that involves seeing the bright side of things and focusing on positive thoughts. A positive attitude involves seeing opportunities rather than obstacles, joys instead of sorrows, and successes over failures.

A positive mindset is that you are confident in Jesus Christ that the thing you focus on will happen. No doubt in your mind. This is not the time to doubt, but trust in positivity. A positive mindset can be the driven focus on a positive outlook. In the spiritual realm, Jesus is a positive, not negative! Keep an optimistic perspective!


How do you develop a positive mindset?

As a Christian, a positive confession is essential to help develop an optimistic mindset no your personal and professional situations in life. The late Apostle Frederick K.C Price says, "The power of positive confession, in line with God's Word, will—over time—change your circumstances: your living standard, your health, your relationships, your career, and take you to heights you've never dreamed you could reach. "

There are many ways to develop positive thinking:

  1. It would help if you started by making positive affirmations about your life and what it has in store for you. You can say things like "I know that I am courageous" or "My future is filled with endless opportunities."

  2. Start changing negative thoughts into positive ones. For example, if someone says they didn't get a job offer, ask them how the interview went rather than ask them whether they got offered the position.

  3. You must believe in yourself!

Start doing this by writing down all of your positive traits on an index card or a journal. Carry this around with you, so whenever you feel low or less confident about yourself, read through these positive words to remind yourself who you are.


Prayers for Positive Thinking

The Bible encourages us to pray for positive things. Take some time out of your day to list down positive things you want in your life and start praying for them! Here are a few examples: "Dear God, please give me the strength to do well in my life or "Please help me maintain a positive perspective. "You should also be thankful every day as it is essential to keep track of what we have rather than always focusing on what we don't have.

The Bible is full of encouraging words that will help you stay positive. It says in John 16:33 ESV, "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace." This passage reminds us not to worry because God has our back and always keeps his promises! We should also take comfort when we pray by keeping a positive mindset about everything around us, for today's challenges are only temporary obstacles on the way towards success.

Pure Thoughts -Another positive mindset tip is to think pure thoughts. Our minds are naturally attracted to things that make us feel good or bad about ourselves. According to the Bible, Isaiah 26:3 ESV, you keep him in perfect peace whose mind stays on you because he trusts in you. When we allow our minds to dwell on negative thoughts, it becomes more difficult for positive thinking to occur in the future.


Positive Thinking Bible Verses

The Bible also has many verses that back up positive thinking! I Corinthians chapter 15 verse 57 says, "But thanks be to God who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of him." This means that no matter what happens, we should always choose hope over despair because with this attitude, people will see how much better off they can become when they follow you!

· The Bible says in Philippians 2:14 ESV, "Do all things without grumbling or questioning" Do all things without grumbling or questioning. Keep a positive confession!


· The Bible says in Psalm 118:24 ESV, "This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it" this positive mindset bible verse tells you to rejoice every day because every single day, there's something positive you will always have. Keep rejoicing!


· The bible says in Matthew 6:33 ESV, "Seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." This positive mindset bible verse tells us that we should always keep our hope alive because God has promised positive outcomes. Always have faith!


· The Bible says Jeremiah 29:11 ESV, "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Keep positive thoughts in your mind about hope and the future!


· The Bible says in Proverbs 12:25 ESV, "Anxiety weighs down the heart, but a kind word cheers it up." Always encourage people with positive words. It will cheer them up!


Jesus never stopped being positive. He had a plan for all things, and he made sure that nothing was going to get in his way of accomplishing it! The same can be true for us if we trust God's plans for us, see the good in everything around us, and look at life from an optimistic perspective. Today, I encourage you to take some time to read through these verses about staying positive no matter what happens because when we do this, anything is possible! Remember that negative things are temporary so try not to let them bother you too much. Just keep looking ahead towards your future with hope-filled thoughts instead of dwelling on what has already passed by."
