3 Ways to Finish Strong in 2021: Tips and Strategies for Spiritual Growth

"Finish Strong in 2021: Tips and Strategies for Spiritual Growth." These are the words that I see in my mirror every day. The year is almost over, and although I am not where I would like to be spiritual, there is still time to get back on track. This blog post will offer three tips and strategies to help you finish strong in 2021.

What does it mean to finish strong?

In a world with so many obstacles and distractions, it's often difficult to keep focused on what you want. However, with God by your side, every step of the way-you WILL be able to finish strong! Finishing is more than just making a result happen. Instead, it's about reaching deep down into that inner strength within yourself through prayer, fasting (or simply cutting out certain things), consistency to finish whatever task at hand when we face challenging times or challenges ahead, and remaining confident in God despite any setbacks along our journey.

How to finish strong spiritually?

  1. Prayer is a vital part of our relationship with God because it connects us with Him on an intimate level that nothing else can do. Through prayer, we allow the Holy Spirit to speak through us and listen carefully by opening up our hearts so He can provide clarity, clear direction, and instruction for our life. Prayer to finish strong to gain God's help, be humble, and have a solid anchor in finishing the race.

  2. Fasting -is an act of refraining from food or certain foods that are abstained for some time. This is done to draw closer to God and have more spiritual sensitivity. Fasting puts us in a position where we will listen more closely so God can speak clearly through His Holy Spirit about how He wants our life to progress spiritually. Fasting is a supernatural occurrence that brings results. Man didn't create fasting; God did! According to the Bible in King James Bible- Matthew 17:21 Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting. This particular bible verse discusses how to pray and fast to eliminate an ( evil spirit). Therefore, it is essential to ensure the purpose of your fast. What is the purpose of your fasting? When should I fast, and how should I fast? Also, throughout the Bible, when God's people wanted to gain victory in any areas of their lives, they called a fast. Fasting can be done in secret between just you and God! For example, in Matthew 6:18, English Standard Version-18, your fasting may not be seen by others but by your secret Father. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you. Fasting produces faith, to be humble, and have a solid anchor in God.

  3. Be consistent - Finishing strong in your spiritual does not mean that we only do these things for a short period and then go back to our old ways. It means being determined to finish the race, no matter how difficult it may be at times, by staying on track with God's plan for our life until the end. Stay the course no matter what!

How do you finish strong in God?

We all need to pray every day. Prayer is the most intimate and personal connection we can have with God because it allows Him to speak through us and listen carefully by opening up our hearts so He can provide clarity, clear direction, and instruction for our life. But prayer does not stop there! I also want you to know that fasting has been a massive part of my spiritual journey.

Fasting puts us in touch with what matters most-our heart's desires and the power of God within us. Fasting may be difficult at first, but once you get started, your physical hunger will disappear to indicate that something more significant than food is calling you now, like peace, joyfulness, or relief from guilt- ask Him (Jesus for strength) wisdom during your fasting time.

The Bible tells us, "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go" (Joshua 1:9). This verse is a call to action for all of us who are striving to live our lives in obedience to Christ - we must stay on course no matter what! If this sounds like something that resonates with you, finish strong! Prayer for Finishing Strong: I ask Father to help me finish this current year strong. I am committed and determined, so please give me the wisdom needed along my journey in finishing it successfully in Jesus' Name, Amen!
